The Lorenz Bahlsen Snack-World GmbH & Co KG Germany (hereinafter “Lorenz Snack-World”) takes the protection of personal data very seriously and observes the applicable provisions of data protection law, in particular the provisions of the German Telemedia Act (TMG) and of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). In following, we would in particular like to inform you about when we save data within the scope of the usage of our websites and how they are used.

1. Collection, Processing and Usage of Personal Data

Personal data are only collected when you voluntarily provide us with such within the scope of your visit to our websites.


a) Contact Form

The information provided by you in the scope of a contact form on our websites (first and last name, e-mail address and other optional information) will be processed by Lorenz Snack-World solely for the purpose of answering your questions.


b) Personalized Services

To the degree that we offer personalized or closed services on our websites, we process and use the information which you provided for the purpose of registration and login for the respective services.


c) Contests / Similar Promotions

The information provided by you in the scope of your participation in any contests or similar promotions on our websites (in particular first and last name, e-mail address, address and any other information marked as required or optional information) will be collected, processed and used exclusively for the purposes of the execution and implementation of the contest and/or similar promotion in question.


d) Online Applications

Lorenz Snack-World would like to facilitate your job search. For this reason, we provide you with the option to apply online. To the degree required by law, the processing and usage of your information in this context will only take place when you have provided you consent to such in advance. e) Transfer of Personal Data

When we transfer personal data, we do this exclusively to service providers that support us in reaching the objectives mentioned above, e.g. delivery of prizes. These companies are only entitled to use your personal data as so-called contract data processors merely for the purpose of fulfilling their obligations on our behalf and are obligated to observe the applicable data protection regulations.


From time to time, we can be forced to provide your data due to legal provisions or processes. Otherwise, however, no transmission of your personal data will take place to third parties.


The processing of your personal data which has been stored takes place generally within countries within the European Economic Area. 2. Usage of Cookies

We use “cookies” in order to make visits to our websites attractive and in order to enable the usage of certain functions. These are small text files which are stored on your terminal by means of your browser. It is not possible to identify a person by means of the cookies we use.

After the browser session, the majority of the cookies we use are deleted from your terminal (so-called “session cookies”). In addition to such, we also use so-called “permanent cookies” on our websites for web analysis with Google Analytics (see point 3. b)), which remain on your computer after the end of your browser session.

3. Anonymous Collection and Evaluation of Access Data, Web Analysis


a) General

When visiting our websites, information without personal details about the respective access is collected and stored (so-called “log files”). Information about the request including

In general, the webserver does not save any IP addresses. Some of these anonymized access data are used for troubleshooting and optimizing the websites as well as for counting the number of visitors. Personal data are not processed in the scope thereof.


b) Usage of the Web Analysis Tool Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will, in general, be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. On this website, IP anonymization has been activated, for which reason the IP addresses of users of Google within the member states of the European Union as well as in other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area will be truncated in advance. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to and shortened by Google servers in the USA. We have no influence over the content and/or the design of the sites of external providers. This data protection notice is therefore to such degree not applicable.

Occasionally we use YouTube to embed videos in our websites. YouTube is offered by Google, Inc.
